Engineering leader building data systems that power smarter, more adaptive products.
I lead Product Data Engineering at Zapier, where we turn data into product capability — powering personalization, discovery, memory, and AI-driven features at scale. I came up through growth engineering and followed the impact of great data infrastructure all the way here. I care about inclusive teams, technical clarity, and building things that matter.
more about me.
Hey there — I'm Stacie (she/her), an engineering leader at Zapier currently leading Product Data Engineering, where we focus on turning product and platform data into real-time capabilities embedded directly into user-facing experiences. My teams build systems that power personalization, discovery, memory, and AI-driven features — enabling product teams across Zapier to build smarter, more adaptive products.
Earlier in my career, I led growth engineering teams responsible for high-traffic surfaces and experimentation systems. I partnered closely with product, design, data, and go-to-market teams to drive activation, expansion, and time-to-value through experimentation, search, and AI-assisted discovery. Managing teams that relied on these data systems every day is what pulled me deeper into data — seeing how much impact they had made it clear that strong, shared data foundations help many teams move faster and build better product experiences.
I care deeply about building inclusive, high-performing teams, creating clarity in complex technical spaces, and delivering data platforms that translate directly into product capability and business impact.
I also co-founded The Collab Lab, a nonprofit that helped early-career developers grow their collaboration and technical skills through mentorship and real-world projects. Though we wrapped up the program in 2024, its community and impact continue through hundreds of alumni now thriving in tech.
Outside of work, I'm a mom to two kiddos and a proud Californian — though I'm Midwest-born and raised. We call Sacramento home but spend plenty of time in the UK — my husband is British, so summers often mean seaside trips and time with our family over there.
You'll usually find me on a rooftop patio with good food, good people, and great conversation — that's my happy place.
My schedule can look a little unconventional at times (thanks to time zones and kids), but that's one of the best parts of remote work — we all get to show up when we're at our best.
If you ever want to talk about leadership, engineering, diversity in tech, parenting, or just life, I'm always up for connecting.
